Thank you for your interest in our program. Each application will be reviewed individually and those selected for an interview will be personally contacted via email. Our program uses Thalamus® - an online scheduling program for interviews therefore you may schedule or change interview dates at your convenience once you have been invited. Please include the following documents in your application. Thorough completion of your application is important to our review committee, so please include all items. Incomplete applications may not be reviewed.

  • ERAS common application form
  • Official medical school transcript
  • USMLE or COMLEX score reports (Step 1 and Step 2)
  • Dean's letter
  • Three letters of recommendation
(Letters can be written by any faculty member with whom you have worked. We do not require a chairman's letter.)
  • Personal statement
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Photograph

For specific eligibility requirements, please refer to the eligibility and selection policy. We have 12 PGY-1 categorical positions and 2 child neurology preliminary positions for the next academic year. The applicant pool is very competitive. Our strongest international applicants also have one year or more of clinical or research experience in the US, and should have graduated within the past five years OR completed pediatric residency in his/her home country.

All applications are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service at www.aamc.org.

The deadline for submitting applications is November 1st.

We suggest that individuals scheduled for an interview arrive in Jacksonville on the night before their interview. This will allow interviewees the time to attend a casual dinner with some of our current residents. A hotel room will be provided for this evening. The interview day will begin at 7:30 a.m. and end at approximately 2:00 p.m. In addition to meeting the program director and interviews with two other faculty members, the day will consist of opportunities to meet current residents, eat lunch and take tours of Wolfson Children's Hospital and UF Health Jacksonville.
