Preventing Seclusion and Restraint for Students with ASD (Online Module)

The CARD centers have produced a training module for educators on Preventing Seclusion and Restraint for Students with ASD at the request of the FDOE. This module teaches the foundational skills for positive behavior support and setting students up for success. It takes about 1.5 hours to complete and will provide a certificate of completion to those passing the quiz with 75 percent or above. To register, visit http://usf.adobeconnect.com/sr_reg/event/registration.html.

CARD actively collects and maintains a wide range of materials in our reference library located in the office conference area. Items include books, videos, training materials, DVDs, and CD-ROMs. Most items may be checked out from the library for 2 weeks at a time.

The conference area also contains a new computer workstation which may be used by constituents and family members to create individualized picture communication materials, watch DVDs, or play CD-ROMs from the library.
