UF Health Jacksonville provides the clinical inpatient setting for this patient safety fellowship - a Level I trauma center, certified comprehensive stroke center, and a regional Level III neonatal intensive care unit. UF Health Jacksonville and UFCOM-J clinics provide outpatient, ambulatory care venues for patient safety study and improvement.

Patient safety training for residents and fellows has the full and enthusiastic support of the hospital leadership, including the UF Health Jacksonville Chief Nursing Officer, the Chief Quality Officer, and the Patient Safety Officer (PSO). Moreover, the PSO provides an important resource and liaison for the trainees, to contribute important teaching as well as to facilitate access and integration into the patient safety endeavors of the organization.

The Center for Simulation Education and Safety Research (CSESaR) is the setting for simulation training for UFCOM-J students, residents, fellows and faculty and UF Health Jacksonville staff. The fellow will be integrally involved in leading patient safety research and curricular endeavors.
