Ayesha Mirza, M.D., a University of Florida College Of Medicine-Jacksonville assistant professor in the department of pediatrics, division of pediatric infectious diseases and immunology, has been selected to present her work in the poster exhibition at the 2010 International AIDS Conference on July 19, 2010 in Vienna, Austria.
The international conference - AIDS 2010 - will feature the latest developments in HIV science, as well as reports on lessons learned from community-based efforts to increase access to HIV prevention, treatment and support.
Dr. Mirza's abstract entitled "Analysis of perinatal HIV transmission in the State of Florida, USA, from 2001 to 2009 - success and future challenges" will also be available electronically on the conference website during and after the scheduled presentation.
