How to Apply

Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship

The fellowship program includes a total of three positions. Applications for fellowship must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). For specific eligibility requirements, please refer to GME benefits, requirements and resources.

Applicants may be considered for admission to the fellowship if they:

  • Have successfully completed, or will have successfully completed by the date of matriculation, an ACGME-accredited three year residency in internal medicine
  • Can document they are American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certifying board examination eligible, or are ABIM-IM board-certified
  • Have the recommendation (written) of their residency training program director for admission to the fellowship program
  • Submit a complete and accurate set of application materials (see ERAS website for more details)
  • Complete a personal interview at the UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville with the program director and faculty interviewers
  • Qualify according to the prevailing policies and procedures set forth by the UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville graduate medical education committee and the Office of Educational Affairs

Please do not mail any documents to us unless we request them from you directly. If you are selected for an interview you will be notified via email.

In alignment with the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine (AAIM) Recommendations, and to ensure a uniform interview process equitable to all applicants, our fellowship interviews for applicants in 2023 and beyond will be held exclusively virtually. We will not offer in-person site visits.
