Program Mission and Aims

Mission Statement

The mission of our program is to develop highly competent, ethical practitioners trained to be leaders in clinical and academic cardiac electrophysiology. We strive to promote excellence in education and patient care by providing outstanding clinical training in a rich academic environment.

Program Aims

  • Train/educate individuals who have completed their general cardiology fellowship in the field of clinical cardiac electrophysiology, allowing them the opportunity to transition from their advanced training to private practice, academia or industry
  • Incorporate latest technological advancements in medical devices into learning for use during and after fellowship training
  • Train electrophysiology fellows to incorporate evidence-based medicine into practice with emphasis on QI projects to be used in everyday practice, as well as the efficient use of resources to prevent the waste of time, human resources, space, finance etc.
