Natasha N. Henderson, APRN


Natasha Henderson, APRN, was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and received her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2003. She has worked in several specialties as a registered nurse, including medical/surgical, women’s health services, school health and nursing education. She attended Emory University, where she received her master’s degree in nursing with a certification in family practice in 2012, later becoming board-certified in 2013.

After graduating, she relocated to Jacksonville to participate in a grant program at the Sulzbacher Center to increase the cervical cancer screening rates among homeless women by performing Pap tests. She began working at UF Health shortly after the grant program was completed in 2013. She is currently enrolled in the University of North Florida doctor of nursing practice program, with a projected graduation date in spring of 2019. She received the Dean’s List Award in 2015 for outstanding achievement. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Florida Nurses Association and American Nurses Association. She is committed and dedicated to improving patient outcomes by using evidence-based practices and educating patients and the community on health promotion and disease prevention. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, laughing and making memories.
