Promotion and Tenure

The purpose of this section is to provide guidelines and expectations for promotion and tenure within the College of Medicine (COM) while maintaining consistency with University standards. These guidelines define the levels of achievement that will indicate readiness for advancement within the COM. These guidelines should also be useful for career planning by the faculty in regular discussions with their mentors and department chairs. Every faculty member is encouraged to become familiar with the guidelines within the relevant track of your position (tenure track, multi-mission track, single mission track).

For questions or more information, please email Kelly Best, MD, Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs or call Jacci Landicho, Associate Director, Administrative Affairs at (904) 244-8528.
