The department of anesthesiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville has numerous ongoing investigator-driven scholarly projects that are either retrospective or prospective in nature. Investigators enjoy access to a remarkable array of resources, support systems and collaborators who assist them in facilitating their work. We activity collaborate on projects locally and within our health system, as well as with industry, national and international researchers. We also have an agile internal research administration team to help with the navigation of research funding, contracts and policies. In addition, numerous research-related professional development and training opportunities exist for UF Health students, faculty and staff. The UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville Office of Research Affairs, our department provides the following research-related support at UF Jacksonville:

This institution has been engaged in clinically applied research for many years and is enriched by the presence of faculty who have demonstrated excellence in performing research and in training new investigators.

The Office of Research is dedicated to this mission. As well, a Dean's Research Grant is available to residents, fellows and faculty. Every spring a Research Day is held with residents, fellows and faculty from all disciplines presenting their work.

Research conducted by members of the anesthesiology faculty is presented at regional, national and international meetings as well as published in peer-review journals.
