The selection process begins with submission of the usual credentials for fourth year medical students through ERAS. Applicants are invited to undergo the interview process, which begins with the weekly Grand Rounds, followed by a group session with the chair to review the overall design, goals and objectives of the residency program. Three members (faculty and/or the chief residents) will interview each applicant. These reviews are then entered into a computer database and ranked by objective assessment scoring. At the completion of this process, the faculty and chief residents meet to review the evaluations and develop the final rank order.
