Welcome to the website for the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville. Part of the Department of Surgery, our division provides patient services at Shands Jacksonville and Wolfson Children's Hospital. The cardiothoracic surgery service handles a wide range of patients and problems in conjunction with a busy cardiology service. The service is pioneering advances in other minimal access cardiac procedures, including transmyocardial laser revascularization. We also have begun to apply the Da Vinci surgical robotic system, which allows major operative procedures to be accomplished through extraordinarily small incisions.

We hope that you find this site interesting and informative. Contact information is available on this site for any additional questions you may have.
