Welcome to the site for the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville Division of Women’s Imaging.

The division utilizes a comprehensive approach to breast health to advance and encourage the early detection and treatment of breast cancer.

Our two centers, both nationally accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR and MQSA Accredited), have expanded their services at the Shands Jacksonville Breast Health Center and the Shands Jacksonville Advanced Breast Imaging Center. These sites now offer the newest forms of X-ray based digital mammography, inclusive of 3D breast tomosynthesis (offered at Shands Jacksonville Breast Health Center), 3D imaging and elastography breast ultrasound (offered at Shands Jacksonville Advanced Breast Imaging Center).

Our Advanced Breast Imaging Center at Emerson is one of only three centers in the Southeastern United States capable of performing the 3D Automated Breast Ultrasound.

A screening mammogram can typically be scheduled within two weeks and as quickly as one day at one of our Breast Centers with mammography services provided by nationally accredited experts in breast imaging and diagnosis.

Available imaging modalities include 3D digital mammography, energy X-ray absortiometry (DEXA) bone density studies, ultrasound (both conventional hand-held and state of the art 3D Automated Breast Ultrasound), Magnetic Resonance (MR) Breast Imaging, as well as the full gamut of interventional breast procedures.

We encourage you to explore our division further and contact us if we can answer any additional questions.

Thank you for your interest in our division.
