Welcome to the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville Division of Functional and Molecular Imaging website.
The division of Functional and Molecular Imaging encompasses all radiopharmaceutical-based diagnostic imaging studies and therapy for the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville Department of Radiology at Shands Jacksonville, a 696 bed tertiary hospital and referral center.
The division performs the metabolic imaging technique using the combined hybrid PET/CT scanner for all types of cancer as well as MRI and MR spectroscopy for prostate cancer. While most of our imaging is based in oncology we are actively involved in cardiac (perfusion and viability) and neurologic functional studies (dementia and seizure evaluation.
Our division specializes in radioisotope therapy for thyroid cancer as well as targeted intravascular radioimmunotherapy for other types of cancer as well.
Our faculty is trained in both diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine and offers state of the art care to our patients in both diagnosis and treatment.
If you would like to explore our division further or discuss your patient needs, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Our goal is to provide a service to you and your patients.
