Welcome to the site for the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville Department of Radiology.

The department provides services at Shands Jacksonville, a 695-bed tertiary care teaching hospital, as well as at numerous primary and specialty care centers located throughout Jacksonville. Shands Jacksonville offers the region's only Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, a Level III NICU, fully accredited acute stroke center, micro-surgical reimplantation and a leading-edge cardiovascular center.

Our department is fully equipped with modern imaging modalities, including radiography, nuclear medicine, CT, ultrasound, PET, MR and angiography, all of which are integrated into our hospital PACS system.

Approximately 300,000 diagnostic imaging examinations are performed annually. Additional affiliated outpatient center studies are interpreted by the faculty.

Our department sponsors a four-year, ACGME-accredited diagnostic radiology residency, as well as a one-year, ACGME-accredited vascular interventional radiology fellowship. We also offer non-ACGME fellowships in cardiac imaging (CT/MRI) and musculoskeletal imaging.

The information contained on our web site is designed to provide a comprehensive view of our department. Please contact us for any additional questions.

Thank you for your interest and we hope you find our site both educational and informative.
