3rd Year Required Rotations (UF students)

Third-year medical students from the University of Florida rotate through Jacksonville for four weeks during their core pediatric clerkships. They are assigned to Wolfson Children's Hospital for inpatient experience or to the Shands Jacksonville ambulatory clinics, nursery and pediatric emergency department for outpatient experience. Students from other University of Florida programs, including physician's assistant, nurse practitioner and pharmacy residency, also participate in core rotations. Residents are actively involved in the education, supervision and evaluation of all students, providing a multi-disciplinary approach to education.

4th Year Required and Elective Rotations

Fourth-year medical students from both the University of Florida and other accredited medical schools (both allopathic and osteopathic) may choose to do elective rotations in Jacksonville. These electives are highly recommended to students interested in pursuing a residency in Jacksonville.
