Division Chief

The University of Florida Jacksonville Division of Neonatology provides superior care with a team of highly trained neonatologists and physician extenders. Over the years, we have implemented advanced technologies and new pharmacological therapies that have been demonstrated to improve survival or to decrease morbidity.

Our team of twenty-eight highly trained, board-certified neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners and physician assistants provide 24-hour care at Jacksonville's two level III newborn intensive care units located at Shands Jacksonville and Wolfson Children's Hospital. Our network of UF newborn specialists also provide 24-hour in-house care at the special care level II nurseries at Memorial Hospital Jacksonville and Orange Park Medical Center. In addition, the division actively consults on perinatal and neonatal issues at Baptist Medical Center Beaches, Baptist Medical Center South, Naval Air Station, Jacksonville and Halifax Hospital in Daytona. Our staff provides the most experienced and compassionate on-site neonatal medical care and consultations available in North Florida.
