How to Apply

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency

Eligible applicants must be graduates of dental school in the United States. There are three resident positions for each year of the program. For specific eligibility requirements, please refer to the GME benefits, requirements and resources page.

To apply to our maxillofacial surgery residency program, please go to the ADEA Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS) website.

The selection process begins with submission of the usual credentials to PASS. A panel consisting of attending staff and at least one senior resident reviews the applications. Their evaluation of the application determines whether the applicant is considered qualified for an invitation for an interview. Applicants are invited to undergo a day and a half interview process through the program, which begins with an introduction to the service. A social gathering with the residents will also occur during this process. Members of the faculty and residents will interview each applicant and reviews are then entered into a computer database and ranked by objective assessment scoring. At the completion of this process, faculty members meet to review the evaluations and develop the final rank order. The standard UF Resident Letter of Agreement is used to notify residents of their appointment.
