Governor reappoints Hudak to state committee

Mark L. Hudak, M.D., professor and chair of pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine–Jacksonville, will serve a second two-year term on Florida’s Medicaid Pharmaceutical and Therapeutics Committee.

Gov. Rick Scott recently reappointed Hudak to the 11-member committee that seeks to develop and implement a voluntary Medicaid preferred prescribed drug designation program. The committee selects a list of cost-effective prescription products for Medicaid patients and provides that list to doctors.

Hudak is also chief of the UF neonatology division in Jacksonville, associate medical director of the neonatal intensive care unit at Wolfson Children's Hospital and assistant dean of managed care.

He received his medical education, completed his residency in pediatrics and completed his fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine all at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore.
