The University of Florida’s First Coast Child Protection Team is honored to announce that Randell C. Alexander, M.D., Ph.D., Chief, Division of Child Protection and Forensic Pediatrics, and Bruce McIntosh, M.D., Medical Director, First Coast Child Protection Team, are the first pediatricians in northeast Florida to achieve board certification in Child Abuse.

The American Board of Pediatrics recently created a new subspecialty, Child Abuse Pediatrics. The first board examination was given in November 2009. This further signifies the cutting edge expertise our team continues to provide for the children in our community.
