UF Health opens new pediatric practice on Jacksonville Northside

On July 1, 2015, UF Health opened a new pediatric practice at the UF Health North outpatient medical complex in North Jacksonville.

Led by Medical Director Jennifer Knight, M.D., UF Health Pediatrics – North will offer a spectrum of pediatric primary care services for newborns to adolescents and young adults, including well-child care, school and sports physicals, immunizations, preventive health assessments with nutritional and developmental screenings. UF Health pediatricians also offer management of chronic medical issues such as allergies, asthma and childhood dermatological conditions, as well as medical care for acute childhood illnesses, such as colds, flu, fevers and minor trauma.

“We are excited to build ongoing and continuous relationships with the families in our area and to provide superior medical care for their children.  With a family-centered approach to child health care we can ensure the best physical, emotional and developmental health of our children.” Knight said.

Knight received her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville and completed a pediatrics residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in Texas. She is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and is an assistant professor of pediatrics with the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville.
