Gray-Eurom appointed UF Health Jacksonville chief quality officer

Kelly Gray-Eurom, MD, MMM, FACEP, has been appointed chief quality officer for UF Health Jacksonville. In this role, Gray-Eurom will be responsible for leading the hospital’s quality improvement and safety efforts to ensure that patients receive the best, most compassionate and safest care possible.

An associate professor and assistant chair of emergency medicine with the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville, Gray-Eurom has a proven track record for improving patient safety and quality within the Emergency Department in her role as director of clinical and business operations for that department.

“We see her appointment as an important step in our journey to make UF Health Jacksonville a leader in quality and patient safety,” said Russ Armistead, CEO of UF Health Jacksonville.

Gray-Eurom received her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. Following graduation, Gray-Eurom completed her internship and residency in emergency medicine at the UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville. She has been a faculty member in the Department of Emergency Medicine since that time, and is also currently the administrative director of emergency services for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Winter Haven Hospital, a position she has held since 2003. She is past-president of the Florida College of Emergency Physicians and past-president of the UFCOMJ Faculty Council.

In her new role, Gray-Eurom will work collaboratively with management, nursing and physician leadership to develop and implement effective and sustainable improvement strategies, and will have oversight for the office of quality improvement.
