Rathore receives Beals Award for Medical Research

Mobeen H. Rathore, M.B.B.S. (M.D.) was unanimously selected for the Beals Award for Medical Research in the Original Investigations category by the Duval County Medical Society's (DCMS) Beal/Shahin Award Committee.
Dr. Rathore is professor and associate chair of the department of pediatrics and chief of the division of pediatric infectious diseases and immunology at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville.
The award was given for Rathore’s participation in the study: Weinberg A, Dickover R, Britto P, Hu C, Patterson-Bartlett J, Kraimer J, Gutzman H, Shearer WT, Rathore M, McKinney R; PACTG 1021 team. Continuous improvement in the immune system of HIV-infected children on prolonged antiretroviral therapy. AIDS. 2008 Nov 12;22(17):2267-77]. Dr. Rathore will be presented with the Beals Award on September 22, 2009 at the Annual DCMS/Navy meeting.
