Robert C. Nuss, M.D., dean of the regional campus, University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville announced the academic promotion of the following faculty members, effective July 1, 2009:

- Jeffrey L. Goldhagen, M.D., professor, department of pediatrics
- Constance K. Haan, M.D., M.S., professor, department of surgery
- Steve S. Hsu, M.D., associate professor, department of medicine
- Carlos Palacio, M.D., M.P.H., associate professor, department of medicine
- Daniel A. Siragusa, M.D., associate professor, department of radiology
- Michael Suk, M.D., J.D., associate professor, department of orthopaedic surgery and rehabilitation
- David Wood, M.D., professor, department of pediatrics
- Elisa A. Zenni, M.D., professor, department of pediatrics
