Regional quality and safety forum

A Regional Quality Safety Forum was presented by the Center for Global Health and Medical Diplomacy at the University of North Florida and the Duval County Medical Society on April 28, 2009. Key note speakers for the conference were J. James Rohack, M.D., American Medical Association president elect and Carolyn Clancy, M.D., director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
Among the conference presenters was Constance K. Haan, M.D., M.S., University of Florida College Of Medicine - Jacksonville associate professor, department of surgery and associate dean for educational affairs, who spoke on teamwork and simulation training. Also participating was Mr. Jim Burkhart, president & administrator of Shands Jacksonville, who spoke at the CEO luncheon panel discussion.
