The University of Florida Health Science Center-Jacksonville's academic roots stem not only from medical education, but also from faculty-driven clinical research. University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville faculty physicians participate in advanced clinical trials to provide patients the latest in diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitative services.
The Jacksonville campus' Office of Research Affairs is part of the Division of Sponsored Research located in Gainesville, Florida, and assists faculty and staff in obtaining and administering internal and external research funds. Specifically, research staff members are available to assist faculty and staff with budget development, to procure application materials, submission of proposals, industry and federal contract negotiations, and to answer questions regarding university or agency policies dealing with grant and contract applications or accounts. The Office of Research Affairs staff members also negotiate all confidentiality and clinical research agreements for the Jacksonville faculty.
