About Educational Affairs

The Office of Educational Affairs (OEA) is responsible for the management and oversight of graduate and medical student education at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville.

The Senior Associate Dean for Educational Affairs serves as the Designated Institutional Official (DIO), working closely with the Graduate Medical Education Committee, to ensure compliance with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accreditation essentials of residencies and fellowships. The OEA also manages the human resource and payroll functions for residents and fellows, in addition to providing assistance to the individual residency and fellowship programs.

OEA provides an ongoing faculty development program designed to enhance the expertise and skills of the UFCOM-J faculty.

Program-specific questions should be directed to the appropriate residency/fellowship program. If verification of a previous resident or fellow's credentials is needed, please contact the specific residency or fellowship program from which they received their certification.
