Resident Orientation

For Applicants or New Residents and Fellows

All new residents, fellows and post doctoral associates joining a University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville accredited residency or fellowship program, as well as non-accredited training programs are required to attend resident orientation. Various lectures and training sessions, in addition to other mandatory activities, will occur during this time as can been seen in this sample schedule .pdf (Adobe PDF Document).

Individuals in core residency programs will attend orientation the last week of June. Individuals in fellowship programs will attend orientation the first week of July.

Resident orientation is held in the auditorium located on the main floor of the Learning Resources Center. Detailed schedules and related information is available in your onboarding packet welcome letter or from your residency or fellowship program administer.
