David Vukich, M.D.
Welcome to the Web site for the University of Florida Department of Emergency Medicine, which is a unique academic department with 30
faculty and 50 housestaff on two campuses. Our Jacksonville and Gainesville campuses provide emergency care for over 145,000 patients each year. We have special programs in
trauma, toxicology,
pediatric emergency medicine and provide air ambulance services with three
helicopters. Our
research program is well established and produces a significant contribution to medical literature each year. We are also involved in exciting
field operations with NASA shuttle launches and local sheriff SWAT teams.
The North Florida climate and the City of Jacksonville provide a wonderful background for these actives and expanding training programs. I invite you to explore our site further.
