Earlier this year, UF awarded Andrew Kaunitz, MD, a professor of obstetrics and gynecology, the University of Florida Research Foundation (UFRF) Professorship. The accolade is given each May to tenured faculty members who have a distinguished research record.
Dominick Angiolillo, MD, PhD, associate professor of medicine at the UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville, was among 3,200 researchers from around the globe recognized for publishing the highest number of articles most frequently cited by fellow researchers.
The 92-bed hospital tower, targeted to open in 2017, will add to the state-of-the-art medical facility the organization is already building on Max Leggett Parkway, just east of Interstate 95 near River City Marketplace.
UF Health Jacksonville has been recognized as one of the best hospitals in North Florida, based on U.S. News & World Report's 2014-15 Best Hospitals rankings.
More than 130 residents and fellows were recognized June 11, 2014, for graduating from their respective training programs at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville.
